Making compensation claims
Can I make a no win no fee compensation claim?
You can make a claim if you have been injured in an accident that was someone else's fault. It has to be proved that your injuries were caused by the accident, which is usually done with medical reports and witness evidence. You also need to show that the person whose fault it was owed you a duty of care and had some responsibility for looking after your safety. For example: your employer; or an occupier of premises where you were injured; or the driver of a car you were travelling in.If the accident was completely your own fault then you would not have a claim. However, this is not always clear cut. For example, if an inexperienced new employee who has not received any safety training gets injured because they do something wrong, they would be able to claim. Although the accident may have been their fault, their employer has a duty to make sure they know how to do their work safely.
