Passenger accident compensation claim
Passenger accident compensation claimIf you have been travelling as a passenger in a vehicle like a bus or a car and you are injured in an accident, you should have good grounds to make a claim. An accident is rarely the fault of the passenger, so either the driver of your vehicle or another driver may be at fault. If the driver is uninsured, a passenger will still be able to apply for compensation to the Motor Insurers Bureau, unless they knew there was no insurance cover.
There are instances where your compensation may be reduced, for example if you were not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident your award could be reduced by 25%.
Any possible deductions that may apply will be explained to you fully by your solicitor before starting a claim.
