Work accident compensation claim

All employers have a duty to look after the safety of their employees when at work.

So if an accident happens and you are injured because of an unsafe working practice; or another employee is careless and causes you injury; or you are injured because the workplace is unsafe in some way, you can make a work accident compensation claim.

Any serious accident at work or any dangerous occurrence should be reported to the local Health and Safety Executive by your employer. You should also make sure your accident is entered into the accident book and that the details are correct before you sign it.
